Summer is here! It started 2 days ago on Wednesday, the longest day of the year.
I watched it with my daughter and a friend, overlooking the Pacific, at the edge of the bloomin’ rose garden in Santa Monica, next to my favorite bent wood sculpture that celebrates the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice is all about our resilience in making it through the deepest darkness, grateful for all the plants and animals that sustain us-- along with the return of the life-giving sun.
In contrast, the Summer brings the fire, an opportunity to burn away everything we’ve outgrown that no longer serves us. After all, how many surfboards can a person ride?
To celebrate Summer, we’re having a Summer Liquidation Sale, including samples of rare items—hemp karate pants anyone?—and deep discounts on slightly sun-kissed goods, or those with a small hole you can mend if you want. We’ll also have regular goods on sale--in person (along with lemonade), in case you miss trying on and feeling vital in hemp!
Beyond that, several Ph.D’s worth of books, vintage fans, mid-century modern chairs, art posters, kids bikes, desks, mannequins and fixtures from the store and so much more….
So for all you Angelenos (and friends of Angelenos) here are the deets:
Saturday and Sunday, June 25th and 26th,
9 am – 3 pm (no early birds)
1714 Oak St. Santa Monica, CA 90405
(enter through the alley behind the house, between 17th and 18th).
We’ll also be selling CBD from Thatcher Michelson’s farm in Vermont, and
enjoying some good tunes and good company. So come by!
~May lots of love your way flow~
Thanks for being vital,
~Let Us Hemp You Out!~
